Monthly Meetings
Our fast-paced monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month. Times may vary and include breakfast, luncheon or afternoon formats. At each monthly meeting we have a chapter updates, presentations and programming to keep you up to date on current HR issues and trends.
Networking and Recognition:
Network with over 200+ HR Professionals in WNC. Colleagues have the advantage of exchanging ideas, questions, and information before, during and following our regular meetings, as well as virtually on our LinkedIn Group. Our membership is broad and knowledgeable. Each member has the opportunity to share and exchange a wealth of information to maintain top performance as human resource professionals. Being part of SHRM Western North Carolina provides each member with the opportunity for professional growth and recognition.
Volunteerism:
As a member you have the opportunity to participate in and provide input to guide the direction and growth of our professional chapter, as well as the opportunity to volunteer for important leadership positions and giving back to our community.
Certification as an HR Professional:
Invest in yourself and your future! SHRM Certification information and training programs are available online and at the monthly meetings.
HRCI and SHRM Credits:
11 + Hours of HRCI and SHRM pre-approved credits per year including 5 General Credits from the full day Legal Issues Program.
Career Center:
Access regional and local job openings in human resources on our website.
Membership Directory:
This is provided solely for the use of our membership for networking purposes and is not shared with non-members.
NOTE: Chapter membership expires at the same time as your current SHRM membership, regardless of enrollment date. Any applicable Chapter dues will be prorated based on the months remaining on your current SHRM membership.
